The Husband's Secret
Liane Moriarty
OF: Sept 30, 2021
Oh Liane Moriarty! Beautiful to the very last page. I love her special blend of humour, suspense, and real life drama. Each of her books make me want to read more! The stories of three women and their families are brought together in the week leading up to the easter weekend with the common tie of a tragedy that happened almost 30 years prior and the desire to both find the answers and hide the evidence. Do you really know the people you love the most? Or is your husband, your daughter, your cousin hiding the most important truth from you, only to reveal it when you least expect it? Read this book!
What Alice Forgot
Liane Moriarty
OF: Sept 22, 2021
With each Liane Moriarty book I read I fall in love with her stories a little more. What Alice Forgot begs the questions of: where do you see yourself in 10 years? And what do you do when 10 years later your life is basically the opposite of what you wanted? Alice suffers from amnesia and can’t remember the last 10 years of her life. In that time much has changed and she’s leading a life she had never expected. Alice uses her period of amnesia to learn what it was that transpired this last decade that put her on such a different path. While she can’t go back and change the past, this period of confusion and reflection might be enough to completely reboot her life and change her future. Like all of the Moriarty books I’ve read, we see a cast of interesting characters, including medium to large families, and commentary on the day to day life of parents with school aged children’s. As with her other books, we find ourselves in sort of an intermediate genre of quirky comedy, meets low-key mystery as you slowly uncover bits and pieces of a story. As always she keeps you reading by slowly revealing the many moving pieces while entertaining you along the way. If you’ve never read a Moriarty book, try this one. If you’ve read some of her other books, read this one!
Big Little Lies
Liane Moriarty
OF: August 22, 2021
I LOVED this book! I’ve read two other books by Moriarty and this one was my favourite so far! Moriarty does a great job creating suspense and keeping you wanting more. I’m not usually interested in suspense books because I scare easily, so I was a bit nervous for this one because there is a hint of murder right from the start, but the author’s writing style keeps things funny and light while still keeping you guessing right till the end! I haven’t watched the tv show yet, but I’m excited to tune in soon.
Note: I still haven't watched the TV show but I still really want to!

Apples Never Fall
OF: Dec 5, 2021
If you’ve read any of Liane Moriarty’s books you know she has her own quirky style, and Apples Never Fall is no exception. If you’re not familiar with Moriarty’s work, why not? You’re missing out! Filled with suspense (but not scary suspense!), a range of oddball characters, and hidden Easter eggs or puzzle pieces that keep you on your toes. Apples never fall was everything I wanted and expected it to be and whether you’ve read all of her books or this is potentially your first one, the most recent book from Moriarty won’t disappoint!
